I am interested in people. Nothing else. I don't care about the cosmos. As far as I am
concerned, the world is filled with enough people to occupy my mind for the rest of time.
Even if I lived forever. Even if I were the last person on earth, I would still only be
interested in people, in which case would only be me but still..
I am also interested in breathing tomorrow morning. And as much as I hate him, I hope the
mailman does come. There's no reason to dislike anyone, there are only reasons to look and
act like you dislike them. Every spoon will find its dish. Your supply of bourbon will one
day run out. You will climb a rope at least once in your lifetime. Contrary to popular
belief, infinity goes inwards. There's no reason to oversaturate the market with truth.
There's more life hidden in trains and dice than all the truth in the world.
The visible world merely speaks in tongues and dialects of a language that is
incomprehensible to us. Every word that I can add to that incomprehensible dictionary of
human endeavours, is what I consider my work. This lexicon, simultaneously created by all,
is torn-apart, incorruptable, marvelous, useless, precious and squeaks at the seams on its
spine.
The invisible world whispers. We'll never know if it's whispering to us or not. That's why
we only talk to each other, and the ones that talk to walls, we don't call them men, we call
them madmen. This doesn't mean that they are not good librarians and lexicographers.
